T- TPS series marine turbocharger description:

T- TPS61 Speed Sensor is belonging to one part of T- TPS series marine turbocharger, which is a mixed-flow turbocharger and consists of single-stage mixed-flow turbine and centrifugal compressor, and adopts inboard support semi-floating sliding bearing and external lube oil system. Single stage of marine turbocharger can meet the requirement of 500kw~3000kw high speed diesel engine. T- TPS series marine turbochargers are extensively applicable to marine main engines, marine auxiliary machines, generating sets, railway locomotives and other application areas of diesel engines due to T- TPS series turbocharger has the advantages, such as simple and compact structure, firmness, durability, low operating cost, high perforce and wide applicability.

T- TPS series marine turbocharger features:

  1. It consists of single stage mixed-flow turbine, centrifugal compressor, external engine lubricating oil system.
  2. it can be matched with high-speed diesel engine and gas engine of 500-3000kw.
  3. cooled & uncooled bearing casing design.
  4. The constant pressure mixed turbine is used to increase the volume flow through the nozzle ring with the pulse application.
  5. The compressor wheel adopts after sloping shunt blades and provide three different periods of pressure.
  6. The overall efficiency of turbocharger is 62%-64%, the maximum pressure ratio is 4.5.
  7. It is compact structure, easy to maintain and widely used in marine main engines, marine auxiliary machines, generating sets, railway locomotives and other application areas of diesel engines.

The speed sensor description:

The speed sensor is designed to measure the revolutions of turbochargers that is to accurately identify how fast the turbo is spinning. Turbocharger speed sensors are extremely compact and directly integrated into the turbocharger housing. Traditionally, installing these sensors was difficult for the end user – requiring complex machining at a compound angle to carefully hit the contour area of the wheel bore at the right angle, while the latest generation of speed sensors have this precision machining already done to every EFR compressor cover.
