1. Watertight door
There are two types of watertight doors, hinge type and sliding type.
The watertight doors used on ships have the following three levels:
First level-hinged door; second level-manual sliding door; third level-power and manual sliding door.
(1) Hinged watertight door: It is required to open and close quickly on both sides of the door.
(2) Sliding watertight door: made of steel plate. According to the sliding direction, there are two types of horizontal movement and vertical movement; according to the control mode, there are two kinds of manual control and power control. (The time for manual door closing does not exceed 90 seconds, and the time for power door closing does not exceed 60 seconds.)
All watertight doors on the ship should be kept closed during navigation, and they should be closed at any time when they must be opened during navigation due to work needs. The watertight doors on the watertight bulkheads, whether powered or manually operated, shall be operated every day if they are used during navigation. Sliding watertight doors should be checked regularly during the voyage, at least once a week.
2. Weathertight door
It is required to install weathertight doors at the entrances and exits of the two end walls of the enclosed superstructure above the freeboard deck.
(1) Steel weathertight door
Its structure is similar to that of a steel hinged watertight door, but the door panel is thinner, the number of door handles is also less, and the tightness is less, which can only ensure weather tightness. To
(2) Wooden weathertight door
The door panels are made of oak or teak, which are divided into hinge type and sliding type, both of which have poor tightness. The doors on both sides of the cab are horizontally sliding.
3. Lightweight steel door
This type of door has a lighter structure and is installed at the entrances and exits of storage rooms and sanitary premises that do not require confidentiality.
4. Fire doors
The fire door is a kind of door panel and door frame made of steel plate and inlaid with asbestos and other refractory materials. Installed on the bulkhead of the fire control area, usually open; when a fire occurs and the temperature rises to a fixed value, the door can automatically close, or the door is equipped with a magnetic restraint, the door will automatically close after power failure. According to the watertight degree of the cabin opening, fire doors are divided into watertight type and non-watertight type. There are also two types of opening and closing types of fire doors: hinged type and horizontally movable type.
