Power calibration
Diesel generator set is a combination of diesel engine and synchronous alternator. The maximum power allowed by the diesel engine is limited by the mechanical load and thermal load of the parts. Therefore, it is necessary to specify the maximum power allowed for continuous operation as the rated power;
Diesel engines should not exceed the rated power, otherwise it will shorten their service life and may even cause accidents.
National standards stipulate that the rated power on the diesel engine nameplate is divided into the following four categories:
1) 15min power: the maximum power that the diesel engine is allowed to run for 15min. In a short period of time, it may be overloaded and require calibration power with acceleration performance, such as the calibration power of diesel engines such as automobiles and motorcycles.
2) 1h power: the maximum effective power that the diesel engine allows for continuous operation for 1h. Such as the calibrated power of diesel engines such as wheeled tractors, locomotives and ships.
3) 12h power: the maximum effective power that the diesel engine allows for continuous operation for 12h, which is the rated power we often say. Such as power station units, diesel engines for engineering machinery calibrated power.
Continuous power: the maximum power that the diesel engine allows for long-term continuous operation.
