MBBR is a new type of biofilm reactor. It is an improved new type of biofilm reactor developed on the basis of fixed bed reactor, fluidized bed reactor and biological filter. Compared with the activated sludge method, due to the longer sludge age, more nitrifying bacteria can be maintained, and the nitrogen removal effect is better. Its main principle is to use sewage to continuously flow through the reactor filler carrier to form a biofilm on the carrier. Microorganisms multiply and grow on the biofilm while degrading organic pollutants in the sewage, thereby purifying the sewage.
