Endotracheal Tube Stylet, made of malleable aluminum covered with plastic sheath, are available in sizes of 6, 10, and 14Fr. The ETT Introducer features a soft flexible tip that reduces risk of patient trauma, and a low-friction coating which makes it easy to withdraw from the endotracheal tube.

After the distal tip of the endotracheal tube is inserted through the glottic opening, have an assistant remove the stylet. Then advance the tube until the cuff is approximately 1 cm past the vocal cords.
