An endobronchial block tube is a device that is inserted into the endotracheal tube after endotracheal intubation to block the right or left main bronchus of the lung to achieve controlled single-lung ventilation, allowing the nearby obstruction to collapse and the surgeon to visualize and access relevant structures within the chest cavity.
Can be inserted down a tracheal tube after tracheal intubation to block the right or left main bronchus for controlled one-lung ventilation. The lung tissue distal to the obstruction will collapse, thus allowing the surgeon’s view and access to the relevant structures within the thoracic cavity.
Atraumatic tip with double offset eye to provide relief if the distal hole becomes occluded for safe effective drainage.
