Highly methylated melamine resins have a high solid content and are efficient crosslinkers of functional polymers containing hydroxyl, carboxyl and amide groups. Widely used in alkyd, polyester, acrylic and epoxy resins. Its advantages are low voc, high flexibility, excellent formulation stability, excellent scuffing resistance and interlayer adhesion. Due to the high degree of alkylation of this series of resins, it is necessary to add a strong acid catalyst when baking at 180-220 degrees Celsius in order to obtain a satisfactory curing speed.
