How to choose the die casting aluminium alloys?
Some of the most commonly used die cast aluminium alloys are A380, 383, B390, A413, A360 and CC401. the main consideration when choosing the right alloy is your intended application.
For example, A360 has excellent corrosion resistance, pressure-tightness and very good flow when melted. b390 has excellent wear resistance and high hardness with the lowest ductility of any cast alloy, which is why it is used in applications such as automotive engine blocks.
