The porous transport layer is located between the catalytic layer and the bipolar plate, serving as a pathway for water supply, gas emission, and electron transport, directly affecting the concentration polarization and Ohmic polarization of the water electrolysis reaction. The porous transport layer should have a rich continuous pore structure that is conducive to the diffusion and transfer of water and precipitated gases, as well as good conductivity to reduce Ohmic polarization. The anode side porous transport layer is generally made of corrosion-resistant titanium porous material in high potential acidic environments, and its surface can be treated with precious metal coating to reduce contact resistance and service life.
