Chinese factory 6V 15mm diameter M3 lead screw plastic slider linear stepper motor

Description:

This is a 15mm stepper motor attached with lead screw and slider.

Lead screw is regular M3*P0.5, and travel distance (stroke) is determined by lead screw length.

If customers want the travel distance to be longer/shorter, we have other lead screw length for choosing.

The thrust of slider is about 500 grams (5N), please make sure motor’s load is lower than motor’s thrust, otherwise the motor will lose step, and not working properly.

If customers want higher thrust(up to 1KG), we can change the motor into 20mm version, and it can provide 1KG of high thrust.

About linear stepper motor with slider:

Our slider motor is a full set of assembly including motor + lead screw + bracket + slider.

Motor’s step angle is generally 18°/step, which means 20 steps for each turn.

When motor rotates one turn, slider moves one lead.

For single start lead screws: pitch =lead.

So the step length is (step length means linear movement slider travels, when the stepper motor take exactly one step):

For example if lead screw is M2*0.4P (0.4mm pitch regular M2 lead screw), step angle of the motor is 18°, step length of this motor is 0.4mm/20=0.02mm/step.

Also, lead screw length is customizable, and we also need to adjust bracket’s design, if you customize lead screw length.

Stepper motors are used for precise control, widely used on medical equipment, 3D printer, industrial precise control, automation equipment, etc.

Stepper motors can be used in any mechanisms requirement precise conrtol and rotational/linear movement.

Advantage of stepper motors:

Stepper motor can reach precise control even without close-loop encoders / without feed back system, also they do not have electrical brushed. Thus there is no electromagnetic interference and electrical sparks issues. In some cases, they can replace DC brushed motors/ brushless motors.
