Lime hydration is completed by mixing water and quicklime fully at a certain temperature. Quicklime and and water are conveyed to the lime hydrator, in which quicklime and water are mixed and ground by the spiral screw. The screw not only pushes lime hydrate forward, but also grinds lime hydrate to the required fineness. At the same time, this completes the whole process of hydration reaction. In addition to the function of conveying the material, the discontinuous spiral can also crush the lime block, make the lime and water fully contact, and accelerate the digestion reaction. The lifting plate keeps turning up the material, so that the lime and water fully react. After the material enters the reverse thrust discontinuous spiral, a reverse wave is formed, which further accelerates the slaking of lime. The slag and incompletely slaked lime are discharged out of the lime hydrator through the slag discharge screw.
