Electric Heat Tracing Cable and Element for Long Pipeline Above Ground normally refers to the electric heating cable and its element for the heat trace of long distance pipeline. In the context of Electric Trace Heating design, a long pipeline is a pipe from 500 meter to many kilometres in length.
The heat trace is widely existed at the locations from a Refinery to a Thermal Power Station on the pipes, valves etc. The applications are furthermore for either on-shore or occasionally off-shore, crude oil production facilities or heavy fuel oil storage facilities etc.
The installed power output should be sufficiently capable to compensate for losses at the extreme working conditions although that condition may not be realized during the lifetime of facility.
The excess heat should be avoided and controlled as the problems caused by the overheat will result in system failure or reliability problems.
