Shafting sedimentation centrifuge has rigid shaft and flexible shaft. Generally, the running speed is not too high, the rotor diameter is larger, and the liquid flow is better centrifuge usually designed into a rigid shaft. The original research machine is designed for rigid shaft, its drum shaft diameter is large (Φ125mm), its critical speed is greater than the working speed, drum shaft and support bearing spacing is large (800mm), set a large size bearing, the height of the whole rotating shafting is also reduced, because there is no vibration problem when the critical speed, its vibration reduction structure is simplified accordingly. The spherical support usually required for flexible shafts is removed. Its advantage is that the working speed is lower than the first order critical speed, there is no vibration problem when the critical speed, can be operated in a wide range of speed. The structure of the rigid shaft itself can be set with large size bearings, which have a better stress state and can improve the life of the whole machine. Its disadvantage is that disassembly and maintenance is not easy to achieve full remote operation.

According to the research data of centrifuge developed abroad in recent years, the structure of rotary drum has positive cup type and inverted cup type, and the corresponding feeding modes are up feed mode and down feed mode. The advantages are that the length of the main shaft is shortened, the superstructure is simplified, the slag discharge is smooth, and there is less pollution above the operation. The process pipeline is centrally arranged under the drum, which is conducive to the lifting, maintenance and solution of α seal of the drum.
