The series Decanter Centrifuge is efficient equipment for solid-liquid separation, liquid removal, classification and cleaning produced by proprietary technology from American Bird Company. Combining advantages of centrifugal settling separation and screen filtering separation, it is suitable for effective separation of below 0.5mm solid-liquid slurry, especially dehydration of flotation clean coal and middlings, swirler bottom flow and pipeline coal transmission. The main different between TC and TCL series is that TCL series add a filter section to the screen. The series product has advantages of wide use, small floor area, large handling capacity, low energy consumption, good dehydration effect, long life, etc.
Centrifugal principle
When a suspension containing fine particles is standing still, the gravity field causes the suspended particles to sink gradually.The heavier the particle, the faster it sinks, whereas particles that are less dense than liquid rise.The speed of the particle moving in the gravitational field is related to the size, shape and density of the particle, as well as the strength of the gravitational field and the viscosity of the liquid.Particles the size of red blood cells, a few microns in diameter, can be observed settling under normal gravity.
In addition, there is diffusion phenomenon when the material settles in the medium.Proliferation is unconditional and absolute.Diffusion is inversely proportional to the mass of the material, and the smaller the particle, the more serious the diffusion.The settlement is relative, conditional, to be subjected to external forces to move.Settlement is proportional to the weight of the object, and the larger the particle is, the faster it settles.For particles smaller than a few microns, such as viruses or proteins, which form colloidal or semi-colloidal states in solution, it is impossible to observe the sedimentation process using gravity alone.The smaller the particle is, the slower it settles, and the more serious the diffusion is.Therefore, it is necessary to use a centrifuge to generate strong centrifugal force to force these particles to overcome the diffusion and sedimentation motion.
