3. Ball mill steel ball castings and forgings requirements
The output of ball mill is not only affected by the load of steel ball, but also related to the diameter of steel ball. It is required to have a certain ball diameter and maintain a certain proportion of the ball with different ball diameters. The size range of the ball diameter in the general cylinder is 25-60mm. If the cylinder body is a large diameter ball, its impact force is larger, favorable for crushing large coal, but because of the large gap between the ball and the ball, the relative surface area is small, the extrusion and grinding effect is weakened, the output of the coal mill and coal fineness are unfavorable. Too many small diameter steel balls in the cylinder body and small impact force will reduce the output of the coal mill. At the same time, due to the relatively increased surface area of the steel balls, the wear of the steel balls will increase, and the power consumption of coal grinding will increase accordingly.
For example, in the running process of the coal mill, due to wear, the weight and diameter of the steel ball are constantly decreasing, so it is necessary to regularly add new balls, in order to maintain a certain steel ball loading capacity. Generally, large diameter balls are added, and the amount of balls should be determined according to the wear rate of steel balls (wear amount of steel balls per ton of coal mill) and the amount of coal mill. After running for a certain time, the number of small diameter steel balls in the cylinder increases. Therefore, after running for about 3000 hours, it is necessary to stop the machine to clean the steel balls, so as to remove the balls with a diameter less than 15mm and the broken balls, and make up the new balls at the same time.
