Gold ore concentrate gravity selction method
For gold ore, there is different way of selection, such as gravity, artisinal way, Carbon in Leaching (CIL) Plant, Heap leaching and flotation way according to the ore type of gold. As for gold gravity mothed, it is mainly applied to the placer gold or rein gold ore in which there are large amount of free gold particle sizes. As the free gold particles are much heavier than the common sand and thus they can be collected by gravity method because of the gravity method.
For placer gold ore, the most commonly used equipment is rotary trommel screen machine, gold centrifugal concentrator, and sluice with gold absorption blanket, which means the sand screening process ( sand less than 6mm will be screened through the trommel screen and fed into the concentrator. The centrifugal concentrator will collect around 80 to 90% free gold among the sand; remaining gold in the tailing discharged by the concentrator will be collected in the gold absorption blanket on the sluice.
For the rein gold ore, it will go through the crushing, grinding, screening and gravity separation, in which the needed equipment include jaw crusher or hammer crusher (depends on the hardness of the ore), ball mill or wet pan mill, spiral classifier, centrifugal concentrator, shaking table, almagamation mercury mixer and gold electric furnace.
