Introduction to Cement Silo

The cement silo, also known as the cement bunker, is a sealed container used for storing bulk cement. It plays an important role in material storage in the fields of construction engineering, concrete mixing stations, cement plants, and other areas.

Structural Components

  1. Silo body: welded with steel plates, it has sufficient strength and stability to bear the weight of the cement and the internal pressure. The shape of the silo body is usually cylindrical or conical.
  2. Support legs: Used to support the weight of the entire cement silo to ensure its stability and safety. The number and form of the support legs depend on the size and design requirements of the cement silo.
  3. Feed pipe: Used to convey the bulk cement into the cement silo and is usually connected to conveying equipment such as screw conveyors and pneumatic conveying equipment.
  4. Discharge pipe: Installed at the bottom of the cement silo, the stored cement is conveyed to the required place, such as a concrete mixer, by controlling the valve.
