Function:

The crane weight mainly refers to the weight part in the weight limiter, and its main function is to realise the limiting protection of the lifting height by gravity, and the specific functions are as follows:
1. Preventing the hook from rising excessively
The hammer limiter is an important safety device for preventing the hook from rising excessively beyond the safe height. Under normal condition, the weight hammer pulls the lever of the limit switch downward through the wire rope, so that the switch is in normally closed state and the hoisting mechanism can work normally. When the hook rises to the limit position, the hammer will be lifted up, triggering the limit switch, cutting off the hoisting control circuit and stopping the hook from rising.
2. Ensure operation safety
The heavy hammer limiter can effectively avoid the collision or damage of the hook due to excessive rise and protect the safety of the crane equipment, and also prevent the safety accidents caused by the loss of control of the hook. The installation and maintenance of this type of limiter is relatively simple, with low cost and high stability.
3. Realisation of upper limit protection
The hammer limiter is mainly used for upper limit protection, i.e. it can only cut off the ascending circuit when the hook rises to the limit position, but cannot control the descent of the hook. Although this design is simple, in practice it can effectively prevent the hook from exceeding the safety range due to operation error or equipment failure.
