This model was commissioned by Aecom and is a showcase of the urban design competition for Dongguan Weiyuan Island. It is a painstakingly constructed 1:1500 scale model, vividly depicting the envisioned future urban planning design. Situated at the confluence of three rivers in Dongguan City, the project enjoys a prime geographical location.

The model's overall aesthetic is characterized by a minimalist wooden style. The light gray-blue water systems, light green vegetation, and entirely wooden base and buildings combine to create a visually striking, multi-layered effect. To accentuate the urban landscape axis, the model is equipped with building lights of 4000K color temperature and water system landscape lights of 6000K color temperature.

From the initial sample creation to the final project delivery, the entire endeavor spanned two weeks. Despite its small 1:1500 scale, the model remarkably captures the intricate details of the architectural design and the comprehensive landscape design plan of the city, precisely conveying the underlying design concept. Measuring 2.5 meters by 2.5 meters, the model incurred a total cost of approximately $15,000.
