Silicon carbide rod is a kind of non-metal electric heating element, which is made of silicon carbide as the main raw material, processed according to a certain material ratio, and processed by silicification, hardening and calcination at a high temperature of 2200 ℃. Silicon carbide rods have a large resistivity, and when the surface temperature of the heating part in the air is 1100°C, the resistance of the silicon carbide rods changes nonlinearly with the increase of temperature.

Silicon carbide rod models refer to 3-segment rods, 5-segment rods, U-shaped rods, H-shaped rods, and gun-shaped rods. Simply put, 5-segment rods should be used for occasions that require high homogenization, otherwise 3-segment rods should be used; H-shaped rods or U-shaped rods should be used when single-ended wiring is required; gun-shaped rods should be used for feed basins. The specifications of silicon carbide rods refer to the diameter, the length of the heating element, the length of the cold end, the length of the bridge, and the center distance. For straight rods (3-section rod and 5-section rod), the length of the cold end depends on the thickness of the furnace wall; the length of the heating element must correspond to the width of the feed liquid tank, generally not less than the width of the feed liquid tank.
