Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Counterweight
1. Description of Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Counterweight:
Tungsten-nickel-iron alloy is an alloy composed of tungsten as the matrix and a small amount of nickel, iron and other alloying elements. It has: high density (~18.8g/cm3) and adjustable, strong ability to absorb high-energy rays (1/ 3), low thermal expansion coefficient (4~6×10-6/℃), good plasticity, high strength and elastic modulus, processable and weldable. Widely used in radiation protection and guidance (hyperlink), industrial counterweight components (hyperlink), safety and defense components (hyperlink), etc.
2. Performance of a Counterweight Made of Tungsten Nickel Iron:
- Specific gravity: high density of ~18.8g/cm3
- High strength: tensile strength is 700-1000Mpa;
- Strong ray shielding ability: Under the same thickness, the ray shielding ability of tungsten alloy is more than 1.7 times that of lead.
- High thermal conductivity: die steel has a thermal conductivity that is five times lower than that of tungsten alloy;
- Small thermal expansion coefficient: the thermal expansion coefficient of tungsten is 4~6×10-6/℃, only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel;
- Good formability, workability and weldability;
- Compared with the toxicity of lead, tungsten alloy material has environmental protection properties, and it is not harmful to human safety when manufacturing radiation detectors with tungsten alloy shielding parts;
Shaanxi Peakrise Metal Co.,Ltd can process various shapes of counterweight blocks according to customer drawings.
