In the past, crucibles made of tungsten, molybdenum and tantalum plates were often used in smelting or electrolysis. Due to the defects in the welds of such crucibles, the service life was short, especially for high-temperature and high-purity rare earth metals, the consumption of tantalum materials was relatively high. Due to the large size and high production cost, we have developed and successfully produced tungsten crucibles with a diameter of 240mm, a height of 400mm, and a wall thickness of 6~10mm, and the use effect of rare earth customers is ideal.
2. Selection of tungsten powder of High Purity Tungsten Crucible For Rare Earth Smelting Furnace:
The particle size of the tungsten powder should be selected for pressing the tungsten crucible, otherwise it will be cracked completely during the pressing process. The billet has low density and is easy to crack. Too fine, the specific surface is large, the contact area between the powders is large, the displacement and deformation between the powders during pressing are large, the elastic coefficient also increases, and the crucible is also cracked due to stress relaxation during pool pressure. Experiments have shown that the particle size of the pressed tungsten crucible should be 2.5υm~3.0υm, and the loose ratio should be 2.8g/cm3~3.2g/cm3. At the same time, the chemical composition of the tungsten powder should meet the requirements of W1, especially the oxygen content should be controlled below 0.1%.
