GFS Bolted Steel Tank for Food Industry Storage
Product Description
The GFS bolted tank, also known as a GFS tank, is an advanced storage solution constructed from glass-fused-to-steel (GFS) plates, specialized sealing materials, self-locking screws, and other components. This innovative design offers superior durability and performance across a wide range of industrial applications.
The primary material used in the construction of GFS bolted steel tank for food industry storage is the glass-fused-to-steel plate, which can achieve a thickness of up to 20 mm, with the most commonly utilized steel plate thickness ranging from 3 to 13 mm. Prior to the fusion process, the steel plates undergo rigorous pretreatment procedures to ensure optimal bonding between the glass and steel layers. Initially, the steel plates may contain surface oils, rust, and oxide scale. To prepare these surfaces for enameling, they undergo shot blasting, sandblasting, and other cleaning methods. This thorough pretreatment ensures that the steel plate surfaces are entirely clean and free from contaminants.
Once the steel plates have been meticulously cleaned, they are subjected to a high-temperature enameling process. In an electric furnace, the plates are heated to approximately 900°C for a second enameling cycle. During this process, a 0.3 mm thick enamel coating is applied to both sides of the steel plate. The high temperature facilitates seamless fusion between the enamel and steel, creating an exceptionally strong bond. This robust binding not only enhances the structural integrity of the tank but also provides critical protection against corrosion.
The enamel coating on the GFS bolted steel tank for food industry storage serves multiple functions. Firstly, it acts as a barrier against corrosion, significantly extending the tank's lifespan. Secondly, the coating exhibits excellent resistance to strong acids and alkalis, making the tank suitable for storing aggressive chemicals. Additionally, the enamel layer possesses remarkable wear resistance, ensuring that the tank remains durable even under harsh operating conditions. These features make GFS tanks ideal for industries such as water treatment, chemical processing, and food storage, where reliability and longevity are essential.
