Description

A fire fighting water pump is a centrifugal pump which is used for pumping fire-fighting water. Fire-fighting pumps can be designed for transportable use (e. g. on fire-fighting vehicles or as portable fire pumps) or for stationary use (e. g. hydrants, sprinkler systems).

The XSF series Horizontal Split Case Fire Fighting Water Pumps are engineered for reliable operation upon stationary use. All fabricated parts are standardized and accurately machined for true alignment, increasing overall durability. Precision balancing of all rotating components provides mechanical dependability, reliable operation and minimal maintenance. Impellers are constructed with double inlets that practically eliminated end thrust while boosting operating efficiency.

High efficiency
The shapes of impeller and pump casings are optimized to achieve the highest possible efficiency for the specific design flow rate and pressure head. Off design characteristics are optimized to give each pump a wide operating range, ensuring that cavitation limits are not exceeded.

The pumps are easy to maintain as the upper half can be removed without dismantling pipe connections and driver components so that the alignment is not disturbed. By using double suction impellers and double volute casings Sanchang supplies pumps with low vibration and noise levels. A double volute reduces radial thrust, resulting in longer service life for bearings and seals.
