Strong Magnet Customized Neodymium Magnets Arc for rotor motor
Introduction of Manufacturing Process
Sintered Neodymium magnet is prepared by the raw materials being melted under vacuum or inert gas atmosphere in an induction melting furnace and processed in the strip caster and thus cooled to form alloy strip. The strips are crushed and pulverized to form a fine powder ranging from 3 to 7 microns in particle size. The powder is subsequently compacted in an aligning field and sintered into dense bodies. The blanks are then machined to the specific shapes, surface treated and magnetized.

Protecting neodymium magnets is important because they quickly oxidize without a protective coating.
1, Nickel coating
Nickel plated magnets and the most common coating on most magnets in the market. This coating is typically used as a three-layer coating with copper in the middle (nickel copper nickel). As long as it is moisture-proof, it is very suitable for indoor/outdoor use.
Nickel coating can also be used as black nickel, with a shiny dark gray/charcoal color.
2, Chemical nickel coating
Chemical nickel plating is similar to regular nickel plating, except that it is almost completely resistant to alkali, salt/brine solutions, chemical and petroleum environments, as well as all types of hydrocarbons, solvents, ammonia solutions, and acids. This makes electroless nickel plating an excellent choice for magnets that require corrosion resistance.
3, Galvanized coating
Zinc is commonly used as a single layer coating. It has excellent performance as a corrosion-resistant coating and is also very affordable. As zinc begins to oxidize, it forms a layer of zinc oxide, which helps protect the magnet.
4, Epoxy resin coating
The epoxy resin coating is mostly black, covering three layers of nickel coating (Ni Cu Ni Epoxy). It provides excellent performance in outdoor applications that require corrosion resistance. This coating is softer than other coatings and is prone to scratches, which can expose the underlying layer and cause corrosion of the magnet. There are multiple colors to choose from for epoxy resin coatings.
