4 Strand Polypropylene Split Film Fibre Ropes
Description:
GB/T8050-2017 4 strand polypropylene split film fibre rope is made of polypropylene split film. It exhibits excellent resistance to oil, corrosion and most common chemicals. The structure of 4 strand polypropylene split film rope provides high strength and moderate stretch. The rope has the advantage of being lightweight, durable and economical, while offering good resistance to abrasion and UV rays, floating and will not absorb water. It is commonly used in packaging and agriculture.
Product Features:
High Strength: The split-film process enhances the strength of the fibers, resulting in a rope with high tensile strength, suitable for applications that require heavy load-bearing capacity.
Lightweight: Due to the low density of polypropylene material, the rope is lightweight, making it easy to handle and transport, thereby reducing the workload on users.
Chemical Resistance: Polypropylene exhibits excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and other chemicals, making it ideal for use in various corrosive environments and extending the life of the rope.
Abrasion Resistance: The split-film structure increases the wear resistance of the rope’s surface, protecting it from damage caused by friction and thus prolonging its service life.
Buoyancy: Because of its low density, this type of rope floats on water, which makes it especially suitable for water-based operations or as part of rescue equipment.
Weather Resistance: It maintains good physical properties under outdoor conditions, including UV resistance, ensuring that it can retain its performance even after prolonged exposure to external environments.
Economical: Compared to other high-performance fiber ropes, polypropylene ropes are more cost-effective, offering great value for money and making them an ideal choice for many applications.
Ease of Knotting: It is easy to tie into various types of knots, allowing users to adjust the length of the rope or secure objects as needed, adding to the flexibility of its use.
Color Stability: Color retention can be enhanced by adding stabilizers, minimizing color fading due to exposure to sunlight and maintaining the rope's appearance.
Flexibility: Polypropylene split-film fibers provide the rope with a certain degree of flexibility, making it easier to bend without breaking, adapting well to complex usage environments.

1.The reference number corresponds to the approximate diameter, in millimetres. 2. The linear density, in kilotex, corresponds to the net mass per length of the rope, expressed in grams per metre or in kilograms per kilometre. 3. The linear density is obtained under reference tension and is measured as specified in ISO2307. 4. The breaking forces relate to new, dry and wet ropes. 5. A force determined by the test methods specified in ISO2307 is not necessarily an accurate indication of the force at which that rope might break in other circumstances and situations. The type and quality of terminations, the rate of force application, prior conditioning and previous force applications to the rope can significantly influence the breaking force. A rope bent around a post, capstan, pulley or sheave may break at a significantly lower force. A knot or other distortion in a rope may significantly reduce the breaking force. |
