When regularly inspecting nickel alloy flange seat rings, you need to pay attention to the following aspects:
- Disassembly and assembly method: Before shutting down for maintenance, it is necessary to determine the flange faults that need to be disassembled, and when the temperature drops to 100°C, pour kerosene on the threads of the flange bolts and clean them in advance. After disassembly, the high-pressure flange should be placed in the ring pad for protection. The position of the octagonal ring gasket and flange should be marked, and then the protection should be removed as required. When disassembling flange bolts, each disassembled bolt should be connected with the corresponding nut and properly placed and stored.
- Inspection and cleaning of bolts and nuts: Check whether the threads of bolts and nuts are damaged. If the threads are damaged, replace the entire bolt. Check the nuts on both contact flange surfaces for coating, indentations, burrs and visible damage and deal with them if any. Bolts and nuts that pass the inspection must be soaked in kerosene or diesel oil, and rust and other dirt on the threads must be cleaned with a brush.
- Flange and octagonal ring gasket inspection: hardness requirements and inspection, the flange and ring gasket at key parts should be 100% hardness confirmed; the octagonal ring gasket material hardness value should be 30-40HB lower than the flange material hardness value (cloth hardness). The sealing surfaces of flanges and metal octagonal ring gaskets should be inspected for rust spots, pits, scratches, bumps, cracks, scars and other defects and dirt.
- Safety operating procedures: Selecting a flange gasket of appropriate material should be comprehensively considered based on the use environment and fluid medium characteristics. Confirm the flange gasket size and specifications before installation to avoid size discrepancies. During installation, attention should be paid to thoroughly cleaning the debris and foreign matter in the installation area to ensure that the sealing surface is smooth and smooth, and tightening according to the connection torque and contact pressure requirements of the flange sealing surface.
