Introduction of Elbows
In a pipe system, an elbow is a pipe fitting that changes the direction of the pipe. According to the angle, there are three most commonly used elbows: 45 ° and 90 ° and 180 °. In addition, 60 ° and other abnormal angle elbows are also included according to the needs of the project. Elbow materials include cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, carbon steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
The connection methods with pipes include direct welding (the most commonly used method), flange connection, hot melt connection, electric fusion connection, threaded connection and socket connection. According to the production process, it can be divided into: welding elbow, stamping elbow, pushing elbow, casting elbow, butt welding elbow, etc. Other names: 90 degree elbow, right angle bend, etc.
When the temperature reaches 800-1500 ° f (427-816 ° C) and chromium carbide precipitates, it can still maintain good resistance to intergranular corrosion. Due to the addition of titanium in the composition, the 321 alloy can still maintain stability when chromium carbide is formed.
321 alloy stainless steel has advantages in high temperature environment due to its excellent mechanical properties. Compared with 304 alloy, 321 alloy stainless steel has better ductility and stress fracture resistance.
