high density tungsten copper W -Cu alloy bar rod electrode customized
A tungsten-copper alloy is an alloy composed of tungsten and copper.
The copper content of common alloy is 10% ~50%, the alloy is made by powder metallurgy method, has good electrical and thermal conductivity, good high temperature strength and a certain plasticity.
At very high temperature, such as above 3000℃, the copper in the alloy is liquefied and evaporated, which absorbs a lot of heat and reduces the surface temperature of the material, so this kind of material is also called metal sweat material.
W-Cu alloy has a wide range of applications, mainly used in the manufacture of arc ablation resistant high-voltage electrical switch contacts, rocket nozzle throat lining, tail and other high-temperature components, also used in electrical processing electrodes, high temperature molds and other occasions requiring high conductivity and thermal conductivity and high temperature use.
Advantages of tungsten-copper alloys
Resistance welding electrode: it combines the advantages of tungsten and copper, high temperature resistance, arc ablation resistance, high strength, high specific weight, good electrical and thermal conductivity, easy to cut, and has the characteristics of sweating and cooling.
Because of the high hardness, high melting point and resistance to adhesion of tungsten, tungsten-copper alloy is often used as projection welding and butt welding electrodes with certain wear resistance and high temperature resistance.
EDM electrode: for tungsten steel, high temperature resistant superhard alloy made of the mold needs electric corrosion, the ordinary electrode loss is large, slow speed.
The high electrocorrosion speed, low loss rate, accurate electrode shape and excellent processing performance of tungsten and copper can ensure the precision of the workpiece to be processed greatly improved.
High voltage discharge tube electrode: when the high voltage vacuum discharge tube is working, the temperature of the contact material will rise to several thousand degrees centigrade within a few tenths of a second.
The high ablation resistance, high toughness, good electrical and thermal conductivity of tungsten and copper provide the necessary conditions for the stable operation of the discharge tube.
Electronic packaging material: it has both the low expansion characteristic of tungsten and the high thermal conductivity characteristic of copper, and its thermal bloating coefficient and electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity can be changed by adjusting the composition of the material, thus providing convenience to expand the use range of the material.
