The precision classification of the guide shaft:

The guide axes are mainly divided into two categories according to their accuracy: ordinary level and precision level:

The difference between the normal grade and the precision grade is the difference in the perpendicularity of the thread and the end face and the reference plane; the processing equipment and the measuring equipment are different. Verticality: is the position tolerance, which is indicated by a symbol. Meaning: The percentage of tolerance that is produced when the theoretical correct angle is 90 degrees from the reference plane is called the perpendicularity tolerance. The actual shape of the part's surface is the variable allowed for its ideal position.

The use of the guide shaft classification:

The guide shaft can be divided into a linear guide shaft for linear motion use, a rotary shaft for rotary use, and a bar for use as a support depending on the application.

1. The shaft used for linear motion is shown in the following figure. It is often used together with linear bearings, guide shaft bearings, and oil-free bushings. The linear guide shaft and the linear bearing are used to form a linear motion mechanism. When used in conjunction with a linear bearing, the heat treatment guide shaft with g6, h8, and h5 tolerances can be used. An unheated guide shaft with f8 tolerance can be used with oil-free bushings.

2. The shaft used for rotating purposes is shown below, mainly with bearings. Suitable for timing pulleys, couplings, etc.

Linear motion mechanism using a guide shaft:
The rod-shaped guide shaft adopts a simple shape that is the easiest to achieve the outer diameter precision in machining, and is often used for the guidance of high-precision linear motion. The guide shaft has the following features.

1. there are "g6" and "f8" two kinds of tolerance products are available, the former is suitable for the mechanism that requires almost no clearance precision movement, the latter is suitable for grease lubrication or oil lubrication bearings.
2. In order to improve the surface hardness of the shaft portion, high frequency quenching and hard chrome plating treatment are employed.
3. It can ensure the roundness, straightness of the shaft, and the coaxiality and perpendicularity with the shape of the end face.
4. Depending on the installation method, the guide shafts for different shaft ends can be selected.
