Hinge Pin

1, Steel no.45
45 steel shaft parts are commonly used materials, it is cheap after quenching and tempering (or normalizing), can get better cutting performance, and can get higher strength and toughness and other comprehensive mechanical properties, after quenching surface hardness can reach 45 ~ 52HRC.40Cr and other alloy structural steel is suitable for shaft parts with medium accuracy and high rotating speed. After quenching and tempering, this kind of steel has better comprehensive mechanical properties.
No.45 steel is widely used in machinery and has good mechanical properties.But this is a medium carbon steel, the quenching performance is not good, 45 steel can be hardened to HRC42~46.So if you need the surface hardness, and want to play 45# steel superior mechanical properties, often quenching 45# steel surface (high-frequency quenching or direct quenching), so that you can get the required surface hardness.
2, 40 cr
40Cr is a commonly used material for shaft parts, it is cheap after quenching and tempering (or normalizing), can get better cutting performance, and can get higher strength and toughness and other comprehensive mechanical properties, after quenching surface hardness up to 45 ~ 52HRC.
40Cr and other alloy structural steel is suitable for shaft parts with medium accuracy and high rotating speed. After quenching and tempering, this kind of steel has better comprehensive mechanical properties.
40Cr steel is one of the most widely used steels in the machinery industry.After tempering and tempering treatment, it has good comprehensive mechanical properties, good low temperature impact toughness and low notch sensitivity.Good steel hardenability, when water quench hardening to Ф 28 ~ 60 mm, when oil quenching hardening to Ф 15 ~ 40 mm.This steel is suitable for cyanidation and high frequency quenching in addition to quenching and tempering.When the hardness is HB174 ~ 229, the relative machinability is 60%.
