NYD200 NJ200 ND380 Low Speed Backstop Clutch One Way Bearing
Features of NYD NJ Backstop Clutch
NY = NYD
Backstop NJ(NYD,ND) with torque arm are without ball bearings support. The Backstop are arranged on through shafts or shaft ends.
The backstop NJ are used as:
Backstops for low-speed applications.
They are designed for use in inclined conveyor-belt systems, elevators and pumps. Taconite seals protect the backstops when conditions are dirty and dusty.
In the realm of backstop clutch applications, clutches enable the unrestricted rotation of the drive shaft in one direction. Upon a reversal in the shaft's rotation, the backstop clutch seamlessly interfaces with a fixed frame, preventing any movement in the opposite direction. These backstop clutches serve as a safety precaution to impede the reverse motion of incline conveyors, bucket elevators, or pump systems. Beyond safeguarding critical equipment from harm, they play a pivotal role in ensuring worker safety in mining operations.
SUMA boasts an extensive array of backstop clutches meticulously crafted to cater to diverse application requirements. This includes internal and external backstops, as well as overrunning and indexing clutches. The ingenuity embedded in SUMA's clutch products guarantees efficient and reliable operation, even in the most challenging environments. The company employs innovative designs and features, such as specially alloyed steel cams for prolonged wear, increased fatigue life, and enhanced torque holding capacity. The races, crafted from high-quality alloy steel with superior surface hardness and core toughness, undergo precision grinding to deliver exceptional concentricity and precise cam rotation.

Mounting
The back driving torque is restrained by the torque arm. The torque arm must not be clamped into position. It must have 0.5 inch play in the axial and in the radial direction.
NJ backstops are supplied for a clearance fit. Set screws on the inner ring are provided for axial retention, shaft collars are not required.
