FFU is a filter unit with fan. In some new laboratories, FFU is widely used to reduce noise, facilitate installation and maintenance, and improve cleanliness, which is an ideal part of clean environment. FFU is mainly used for roof air supply of large area cleaning site, providing high-quality air for cleaning room and microenvironment.

The previous FFU filter can be replaced, but most of the current FFUs are glued together by the filter and the box. The filter efficiency level of filter element in FFU is generally

HEPA, sometimes ULPA is also used. The filter element in FFU is mostly of diaphragm free structure.

Before the product leaves the factory, the FFU shall also pass the scanning test and inspection one by one like the ordinary filter.

In order to reduce the weight, the FFU box used in the plant is made of aluminum. For other FFUs, the shell may be stainless steel or steel plate.

FFU has many advantages

1, Flexible and simple replacement, installation and movement: FFU claims to be integrated and modular, with power, simple filter replacement, and free replacement, movement and control at the clean site without any restrictions,

2, Negative pressure ventilation: because it can provide static pressure, the clean room is under positive pressure for the outside world, so the external particles will not come to the clean area. It is simple and reassuring, which is the unique feature of FFU.

3, Shorten the construction period: FFU can save the production and installation of air duct.

4, Reduce operation cost: When using FFU, the initial investment is higher than that of pipeline ventilation, but the characteristics of energy saving and maintenance free can be emphasized later

5, Space saving: FFU really saves space. Compared with other systems, the interior height of the air supply plenum is less, which mainly does not occupy the clean room space.
