The ADSS cable consists of fibers that are 250μm in diameter and are positioned in a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound and stranded around a non-metallic central strength member made of FRP. This creates a compact and circular cable core, which is then filled with a filling compound and covered with a thin inner sheath made of PE. A layer of aramid yarns is then applied over the inner sheath as a strength member, and finally, the cable is completed with an outer sheath made of either PE or AT for anti-tracking.
The actual status of overhead power lines is taken into full consideration when ADSS cable is being designed. For overhead power lines under 110kV, PE outer sheath is applied. FOR power lines equal to or over 110kV, AT outer sheath is applied. The dedicate design of aramid quantity and stranding process can satisfy the demand on various spans.
The aerial fiber optic cable is all-dielectric and self-supporting, with no metal in its structure.
It has a large number of fiber cores, is lightweight, and can be installed alongside power lines, saving resources.
The cable uses high tensile strength aramid material to withstand tension and prevent damage.
It has a small thermal expansion, meaning the cable's arc is minimally affected by temperature changes.
The cable has a double layer of aramid yarn for strength, making it suitable for harsh environments like high-altitude salt lakes or lines with spans greater than 800 meters.
The cable has a three-layer sheath with PE/AT as the outer jacket.
