General Description :
Overview The Model DPT-810 loop-powered moisture analyzer is designed for ease of use, incorporating all the features you want to make installation and operation as simple as possible. For the first time, dew point measurement is made as accessible as temperature and pressure with this fully configured, calibrated transmitter that can be instantly incorporated into your air or gas management and control system.
Nanoporous Metal Oxide Film Sensor
PhyMetrix has developed a nanopore geometry with capillary action towards water molecules. This unique structure creates equilibrium between the inside and outside of these pores such that the concentration of water molecules inside the pores is exponentially proportional to the concentration of water molecules outside the pores. Thus the capacitance change due to a small change in water molecule content in the gas is significant enough to produce a repeatable measurement. The following graph depicts the sensor response to partial water vapor pressure of approximately 17 (nF) per decade of partial water vapor pressure (mB).
Advantages
The ability of the sensor to attract large amount of water molecules when the moisture content is very low (e.g. parts per billion), creates a sensor capable of very reproducible fast responding measurements at dewpoints as low as 110°Cdp. The DPT-810 Transmitter is constructed in 316 grade stainless steel, with a captive sealed, glanded cable connector and offers IP65 protection from the environment. This rugged construction makes it perfectly suited for industrial applications whilst, weighing only 170 g, it is light enough to be supported directly by its connection to a 6 mm or ¼ inch sample pipe without any additional mounting brackets. Again, design for operation is a key benefit. The ability of our Analyzer to have a built-in temperature and pressure sensors to perform compensations provides a calibrated consistent measurement. The NIST traceable calibration performed on each instrument at the PhyMetrix Calibration Laboratory provides an accurate measurement.
The advanced human-factors engineered software and ergonomic housing allows easy use.
