R2868 is a UV ON/OFF detector that utilizes the photoelectric effect of metals and the gas doubling effect. It has a narrowband spectral sensitivity from 185nm to 260nm and is completely insensitive to visible light. Unlike semiconductor detectors, it does not require a visible light filter, making it easy to use.
