PSA TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTION

PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Technology has revolutionized the field of non-cryogenic air separation and oxygen generation. This groundbreaking process incorporates a specialized grade of Zeolite Molecular Sieve (ZMS) for optimal performance.

Within the PSA system, compressed air undergoes a series of steps. Firstly, it is directed through a Twin Tower module, featuring automatic changeover valves for seamless operation. Before entering the module, the air is efficiently dried using a Refrigerated Dryer. Subsequently, the dry compressed air interacts with a bed of Zeolite molecular sieves.

The Zeolite Molecular Sieves possess a remarkable characteristic – they exhibit preferential adsorption of nitrogen molecules. This property enables the effective removal of nitrogen, allowing the desired oxygen gas to pass through.

To maintain a consistent pressure, the resulting oxygen gas is directed to a surge vessel. This vessel is equipped with a Back Pressure Regulator, which ensures that it operates at a minimum pressure, thereby facilitating smooth system performance.
