Product Description
An ion exchange antirust pigment, AC3, consisting of calcium containing zeolite or amorphous silica gel, appears as a white powder. It does not contain heavy metals, and has a certain rust resistance.
The pigment is produced by using the presence of silanol groups (si-oh) on the surface of silica gel to exchange ions (such as calcium ions).First, the silica gel was ground into a fine powder, 100 g was weighed, 650 ml of saturated limestone water and 25 ml of 2.45 mol/L calcium nitrate (Ca(NO3)2) solution were added, stirred for 2 hours, and then left to rest for 3 hours. After the ion exchange reached a balance, the product was filtered and washed until no Ca2+ ions were found.
Lon exchange antirust pigment can exchange hydrogen ions on the film and substrate with calcium ions, thus neutralizing the acid, and maintaining a high pH value, inhibiting corrosion.Calcium ions can combine with metal oxide film to form a protective layer, so that the steel substrate is protected, reduce corrosion and extend the service life.Zeolite with a certain ion exchange capacity can also be prepared into calcium ion containing zeolite ion exchange antirust pigment, the production of an art similar to the silica gel variety.Epoxy resin primer prepared with silicone ion exchange pigment and epoxy ester resin has good salt resistance and water resistance, which is reported to be no less than zinc yellow epoxy ester primer.
