Working conditions

The cylinder head is used to seal the gas, form a combustion space with the piston, and bear the role of high-temperature and high-pressure gas. The operation of the cylinder head is:

(1) The cylinder head is subject to high temperature and high pressure gas, and bears great bolt pre tightening force, resulting in high mechanical stress.

(2) The structure of the cylinder head is complex, and the temperature field is seriously uneven, which leads to large thermal stress, and even cracks and overall deformation of the cylinder head

Therefore, the design requirements of the cylinder head are

(1) It has sufficient rigidity and strength, small working deformation and ensures sealing.

(2) Reasonably arrange the combustion chamber, valve and air passage to ensure the working performance of the engine.

(3) Good processability, uniform temperature field as far as possible, reduce thermal stress and avoid hot cracking
Cylinder head construction The cylinder head is a box shaped part with complex structure. The intake and exhaust valve seat holes, valve guide holes, spark plug mounting holes (gasoline engines) or fuel injector mounting holes are machined on them. The cylinder head is also provided with a water jacket, an air inlet and an exhaust port, and a combustion chamber or a part of the combustion chamber. If the camshaft is installed on the cylinder head, the cylinder head is also provided with a cam bearing hole or a cam bearing seat and its lubricating oil passage.
