Replacing the Display Inverter

1. Open the display component

NOTE If the display backplane is a PCB with integrated flex components, refer to the Replacing the Backlight Inverter PCB section in the Dash Service Manual that came with the product for information on how to replace the inverter. Dispose of the backplane and mylar insulation strips included in the new inverter replacement kit

2. If the backing plate is metal, remove and discard the backing plate. Keep the two screws.

3. Disconnect the cable from the backlight inverter PCB connector.

4. Remove and keep the two screws that secure the backlight inverter PCB to the display mounting plate

5.Install mylar insulator on the inverter bracket

6. Install the new inverter using the two retaining screws and reconnect the inverter cables.

7. Install the new metal backplate using the two captive screws.

8. Reassemble the display components in reverse order
