Refurbished GE Marquette Cardioserv Defibrillator Paddle PN21730403
The performance option can be set to auto sort position. and the defibrillator automatically sequences at preset energy levels. The factory default setting is the recommended AHA/ERC command (200 J, 200 J, 360 J) The factory default setting can be changed from the start menu.
You can choose between 150 J, 200 J, 300 J and 360 J.
* Set power option (4) to "Auto Sort" or desired power value (Open CardioServ).
The pacemaker beeps and displays a checkered pattern (LCD.
Performance Test), then the main screen will appear. After connecting the patient cable, the selected ECG cable (optional) will appear on the screen.
* Verify that the power option is locked in the correct position and that the screen for the selected power source is visible.

Performance depends on defibrillation mode. the age and physical condition of the patient for external use. The thickness of the tissue is also a factor influencing the energy required.
The amount of energy required to successfully stimulate the ventricles without damaging the heart muscle. It has been the subject of scientific debate for years. Therefore, the manufacturer cannot make any recommendations.
In an emergency, the AHA advises adult patients.
1. Defibrillation at 200 J; If you fail, try again.
2. Defibrillation at 200 J; If you fail, try again.
3. Maximum defibrillation energy setting (360 joules)
Keep in mind that children require less energy than adults for successful defibrillation. For the pulse of the first defibrillation given to infants and young children. Choose an energy level of 2 J/kg of body weight. for a later effect the energy can be increased up to 4 J/kg.
In accordance with IEC requirements, the modulated energy of this pacemaker does not store energy. Rather, it is the energy released at the 50 ohm external resistance (patient resistance + electrode skin contact resistance).
*Remove the wiper from the glove box. If the electrode is wet, dry it well. in particular the mango, which must be completely dry. Apply an appropriate amount of electrode cream to each spatula.
* Place the electrodes on the patient's chest to allow as much energy as possible to flow through the heart muscle. (The imaginary line between the center of the two electrodes should correspond to the center of the heart.
* Press the spatula firmly against the patient's chest.
Warning :
Do not apply the paddles over
– sternum or clavicle
– nipples
– implanted pacemaker or defibrillator
The ECG signal trace appears on the screen.
* Do not touch the patient and tell everyone present.
* Activate by pressing the charge shock button (8) on the Apex paddle.
RING . If you are using internal electrodes or defibrillation electrodes, press the shock charge button on the device.
When the selected energy level is reached ("Energy available" message), CardioServ beeps and displays the stored energy.
* Simultaneously press the buttons on both electrode pads for the next 30 seconds to deliver a defibrillation shock. If using internal electrodes or defibrillation electrodes, press charge shock and Shock on the device.
If more than 5% of the available energy is lost before delivering a defibrillation shock, CardioServ will recharge to the desired energy level.
