The sensor is classified as "IPX7" according to the degree of protection against harmful ingress of water (from the sensor head to the cable protector).
The connectors are not waterproof and must not be immersed in liquids such as disinfectants.
The transducer is as shown below
No. | Name | Function |
<1> | Transducer head | Converts electrical signals into ultrasonic and focuses the sound beam in a certain direction; At the same time, it receives reflected ultrasonic signals, converts them into electrical signals and transmits them through cables. The lens on the surface is an acoustic lens. Apply ultrasonic gel to the acoustic lens for it to work properly. |
<2> | Needle-guided bracket fix tabs and grooves | Provides mounting support of the needle-guided bracket. |
<3> | Transducer cable | Transmits electrical signals between the transducer body and connector |
<4> | Transducer connector | Connects the transducer and cable to the ultrasonic diagnostic system. |
<5> | Lock handle | Locks the connector to the ultrasonic diagnostic system. |
Tips: The transducers’ structure marked in the figure above may vary with the matched needle-guided brackets.
Connecting and Disconnecting the Transducer
For non-portable Doppler Ultrasound System Compliant Transducer
Connect the converter:
After freezing or shutting down the ultrasound system, align the connector with the ultrasound system's transducer port and rotate the locking handle 90° clockwise to lock securely. See below:
Disconnect the sensor:
After the system freezes or shuts down, rotate the locking handle 90° counterclockwise to unlock the transducer. Pull the connector straight out to remove it.
See below:
For Portable Doppler Ultrasound System Compliant Transducer
Connect the converter:
To connect the transducer, push the plug into the socket until it stops. Move the transducer lock lever, located next to the jack, to the up position. See below.
Disconnect the sensor:
To disconnect the transducer, move the transducer locking lever to the down position and pull the transducer steadily out of the socket. See below.
