► The principle of VGA Interface
The colors displayed by a VGA monitor screen consist of three basic colors: R, G, and B (red, green, and blue). A cathode ray tube (CRT) emits a
beam of electrons that strike a fluorescent screen to produce the three primary colors. VGA image display is achieved by CRT progressive
scanning or interlaced scanning, that is, the input signal starts from the top of the monitor screen and scans progressively from left to right and top
to bottom. The HS line scan signal controls the left-to-right scanning, and the VS field scan signal controls the top-to-bottom scanning. After
scanning one line, the electron beam will return to the starting position of the next line. The CRT turns off the electron beam and uses the HS line
sync signal for line synchronization; after all line scans are completed, the VS field sync signal performs field synchronization and field blanking at
the same time, so that the electron beam returns to the upper left corner of the screen. It has the advantage of high resolution, fast display speed
and rich colors. The VGA interface is D-type and 9 pin.
