Refer to the instructions in the manual and follow your hospital's cleaning policies and procedures.
1. Remove the probe from the system.
2. Wear sterile gloves to prevent infection.
3. Clean the transducer with clean water or soapy water to remove any foreign material, or wipe with a soft ethyl urethane sponge. Avoid using a brush as it may damage the transducer.
4. After rinsing, dry the transducer with a sterile cloth or gauze. Do not use heat to dry the transducer.
►Immersion Disinfection
1. Wear sterile gloves to prevent infection.
2. Clean the transducer before disinfecting. Mindray recommends using the following solutions to disinfect the probe: For disinfectant concentration, dilution method for disinfection, and precautions for use, please refer to the drug manufacturer's instructions. Do not immerse the probe connector or nearby cables in water or solution.
The probe should be immersed in the disinfectant solution for the minimum time recommended by the manufacturer (for example, the manufacturer recommends a minimum immersion time of 12 minutes for Cidex OPA).
Intraoperative transducers must be sterilized after each examination.
1. Wear sterile gloves to prevent infection.
2. Clean the transducer before sterilization. Mindray recommends using the following solutions to sterilize transducers:
Hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid based sterilizing solutions
Refer to the chemical manufacturer's instructions for sterilizing solution concentrations, sterilization and dilution methods, and precautions for use.
Do not immerse the transducer connector or nearby cables in water or solutions.
Follow local regulations when selecting and using sterilizing solutions.
3. Flush the transducer with plenty of sterile water (approximately 2 gallons) for at least 1 minute to remove any chemical residue from the transducer. Alternatively, flush the transducer according to the sterilizing solution manufacturer's recommended flushing method.
4. After rinsing the probe, wipe off any water on the probe with a sterile cloth or gauze. Never
Dry the probe using heat.
The intraoperative probe can be disinfected at least 217 times (10 hours at a time) using Cidex activated glutaraldehyde solution without compromising safety and performance.
The intraoperative probe can be sterilized at least 135 times (11 hours at a time) using Minncare Cold Sterilizer without compromising safety and performance.
