What is SPDT solid state relay?
All switching components (MOSFET, SCR, TRIAC, IGBT, etc.) in a solid-state relay act only as SPST switches, and there is no single component in a solid-state relay that has SPDT functionality. In addition, in ordinary solid-state relays, optocouplers (with photoelectric isolation function) are used as signal transmission components, so the input control circuit of the SSR switch is electrically isolated from its output circuit. So if SPDT solid state relay is needed, we can only use a special circuit to modify the SPST SSR switch. And because of the electronic switching components, SPDT solid state relays are more efficient and consume less power than SPDT mechanical relays.
