Molybdenum Electrode For Glass All-Electric Melting Furnace
1. Description of Molybdenum Electrode For Glass All-Electric Melting Furnace:
Electrode materials are very important for the improvement of glass electrofusion process. Although the shape of the electrode is different (usually rod-shaped and plate-shaped), the glass type and the composition of the glass liquid are different, but the requirements for the electrode material of the glass all-electric melting furnace are basically the same:
1). The current density carried on the electrode has a great loss on the electrode, and the electrode material needs to have good electrical conductivity to reduce power consumption.
2). It will not be oxidized at 400℃ in air environment.
3). When the operating temperature is 1700℃, it still has good mechanical strength.
4). The temperature that can be withstood is 1700℃ without considering the oxygen partial pressure and current load.
5). Corrosion products will not bring any defects to the finished glass, such as coloring, stones and streaks.
6). During the contact between the electrode material and the glass liquid, bubbles should not be generated, otherwise it will lead to the existence of bubbles in the glass finished product.
7). The molten glass contains a lot of highly corrosive costs, and the electrode material must have strong corrosion resistance to resist corrosion.
8). High purity, less impurities, not working with refractory materials, long service life.
9). Low expansion coefficient and low contact resistivity with glass.
2. Specification of Molybdenum Electrode For Glass All-Electric Melting Furnace:
Electrode Type | Size(mm) | Electrode strength(σb MPa) | |
20℃ | 1400℃ | ||
Molybdenum plate electrode | (3-25)×(50-500)×(100-1500) | 676 | 66 |
Molybdenum rod electrode | (Φ4-Φ120)×(200-2000) | 696 | 83 |
3. Material introduction of Molybdenum Electrode For Glass All-Electric Melting Furnace:
The molybdenum electrode made of high-purity molybdenum powder through powder metallurgy process has the characteristics of high melting point, high temperature strength and hardness, good thermal shock resistance, good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Molybdenum also has good process suitability and is easy to press and machine. Molybdenum is resistant to high temperature and corrosion of molten glass, and the corrosion products do not contaminate the glass. Therefore, it has been widely used in the production of glass electrofusion.
