Introduction:
Shanbao Machinery, founded in 1989, is a large-scale professional feed machinery fittings manufacturer, that integrates production, sales, and service. The headquarter is located at the new zone of Meishan Industrial Park, Sichuan, China. Covering an area of 40000sq.m with 3 plants for forging and casting, drilling and fine turning. We’re the only dies manufacturer who has its own forging and casting factory in China, it means we can control the quality from the beginning.
We’re a professional feed spare manufacturer and have 15 professional technicians, all of whom have more than 30 years of experience in machinery production.
The die is the most crucial part of the pellet mill since it directly affect the feed’s PDI, size, durability, hardness, colors and some others. The die’s price should be the most expensive of the consumable parts of the pellet mill. So using the right and best die is the most important thing during feed production.
Parameter:
Material composion:
The raw material used for this parameter is X46Cr13, a type of stainless steel alloy. This alloy is known for its balance of strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it a suitable choice for demanding pelleting applications.
Hole finish:
The hole finish has a surface roughness (Ra) ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 micrometers, indicating a relatively smooth surface. This level of surface finish helps to improve pellet flow, reduce friction, and maintain product quality during the pelleting operation.
Hardness range:
The hardness of the material falls within the 52 to 55 HRC (Rockwell C scale) range, which is a common hardness specification for industrial applications. This level of hardness provides the necessary wear resistance and durability for the die to withstand the high compressive forces and friction encountered during the pelleting process.
Blind hole:
The parameter specifies that there are no blind holes, meaning all the holes pass completely through the die. This design feature ensures consistent and efficient material flow through the die, optimizing the pelleting performance.
Heat treatment:
The die undergoes a vacuum heat treatment process to enhance its mechanical properties and performance. This specialized heat treatment helps to improve the die's hardness, strength, and resistance to wear and deformation, ensuring its longevity and reliability in demanding pelleting applications.
Hole diameter range:
The hole specification for this parameter covers a range of 1 to 12 millimeters in diameter. This versatile range of hole sizes allows for the production of a variety of pellet sizes, providing flexibility and adaptability in meeting different feed production requirements.
The pattern of the holes:
The hole's pattern will be designed based on the feed ingredients, particle size, PDI, and particle hardness. There are several types of holes, the most common structures of die holes are straight holes, release stepped holes, external conical holes, internal conical holes, etc. Different die-hole structures are suitable for the different raw materials and feed formulas for pelleting.
Compression ratio:
Generally, the higher the compression ratio the denser the finished pellets, but it does not mean the better pellet. The compression ratio should be calculated based on raw materials for pellets and types of feed, buyers can customize dies with different hole diameters and compression ratios according to the situations and requirements.
