Heat shrink sleeve is manufactured by compositing high-performance hot melt adhesive into a substrate in PE sheet extrusion process, and then by secondary processing after radiation cross-linking. The general thickness is 1.2 to 3.2mm, the tensile strength is greater than 20Mpa, the peel strength is higher than 70N/CM, and the sealing effect is good.
Performance Features:
Quick shrink, good water resistance, corrosion resistance, long service life, easy to transport and convenient for construction.
Scope of Application: for PE pipes, it is recommended to connect with tapes of the diameter between Φ200 to Φ1800mm.
Purpose: mainly used for heat supply pipe networks, oil pipelines, natural gas pipelines, anti-corrosion and thermal-insulation steel pipes, chemical pipelines, sewage pipelines and other fields.
Epoxy primer CNP-P (A+B) is a two-component system based on modified epoxy
resin (component A) and hardener (component B), designed for priming the surface
of the weld joint area, providing additional adhesion of the protective coating to steel
and to the factory coating of pipes and provides an additional layer of protection;
applied directly to the cleaned weld joint area over the steel with foam rollers before
installing the sleeve.
The design of the application of the CNP-SGL heat-shrinkable wrap-around sleeve
with the CNP-LP lock plate and the CNP-P primer kit (A+B) at the joints completely
replicates the three-layer factory insulation of the pipe.
The long-term operating temperature of the coating of sections of welded joints of
pipelines based on heat-shrinkable cuffs is from minus 50 °C to plus 60 °C in soils
of varying aggressiveness and humidity.
Instructions for Use:
① Preparations for connection of heat shrinkable tape: gas tank, spray gun, horizontal bar, cleaning cloth and gloves.
② Arrange the pipes in a level position, wipe the connection positions with a clean rag.
③ Slightly preheat the pipe connection parts to 60°to 80°.
④ Wrap the heat shrinkable tape and fix it with a stainless steel fastening strip or fixing plate.
⑤ Firstly heat the sealing part with a gas spray gun, after slightly melting, heat a round of the central part of the heat shrinkable tape, and then slowly move downward. (It is better to wrap the fastening strip with a damp cloth, in case that the heat shrinkable tape is pulled open at the fastening strip section, because the thermal conduction of the stainless steel is very quick.)
⑥ Inspect the connection status, until there is a small amount of glue overflow on the edges, and reheat the bad parts for a reliable connection.
