Description

Application:

Co-mill is specially designed for:

  • The homogenization of dry and wet products to a specified particle size.
  • Reduction of oversized particles to the desired size.
  • Milling of agglomerates back to the initial size.

Work principle:

The product is fed vertically down into the milling chamber through the feeding port. In the milling chamber the product is forced through the screen insert by a rotating impeller.

The rotor mill utilizes an under-drive providing a straight vertical product flow into and out of the milling chamber. The design makes the wet rotor mill ideally suitable for products with bad flow characteristics (e.g. wet products from high shear mixer granulator). The partial size of the homogenized product is dependent upon the shape and size of the holes of the screen insert. The product flow rate can be adjusted by varying the rotor speed.
