Sondex Free Flow Plate Heat Exchanger
Free Flow pattern is designed to treat media that is unsuitable for regular heat exchangers due to high viscosity, fiber and particle contents, or considerable risk of fouling.

The deep and wide channels provide ample room for the hard-to-treat media to flow effortlessly, ensuring gentle treatment of the output product and leading to sustainable quality improvements.
Since there is only line contact between the plates, even long and sticky particles will not get stuck and clog the heat exchanger.
The Free Flow plates are also well-suited for media that have a tendency to cause fouling, and are designed with the fouling factor in mind. The channels allow for an efficient flow and heat transfer, in spite of the accumulated fouling, deferring the cleaning downtime.
This enables a sugar producer, for example, to operate at full capacity throughout an entire campaign without losing valuable production time and product output.
Ensures an unimpeded flow due to the deep channels and limited contact points between the plates. The large plate gap is designed to handle media that cause fouling and clog regular heat exchangers.
Extended operation time, with no cleaning needed, regardless of the media’s viscosity, fouling tendency, and particle contents.
Asymmetric patterns are available for applications with big flow rate differences. Taking the flow rate differences into account eliminates problems with air pockets, media maldistribution and low turbulence.
What is it
Plate heat exchanger is heat transfer equipment used to transfer heat from one medium to the other indirectly.
In Sondex Free Flow Plate Heat Exchanger, The heat transfer plates are designed with a gap between plates up to 11 mm depending on the plate type. Because the pattern of the plate pressing is horizontal waves maintaining no “plate contact points” in the flow direction, the flow channels remain free of obstacles allowing the media / particles to flow freely.
The slender design of the plates creates a high thermal efficiency gaining high “thermal length”. This often results in a “single pass” solution for solving many tasks, and allows for all of the connections to be located on the head of the frame plate. This makes pipe work easier, as the unit can be opened without the need to remove the pipe work, easy draining effective CIP-cleaning and the possibility of ”backflushing” for cleaning purposes.

Daily knowledge
Cleaning of gasket, track removing dirth, old glue, pieces of old gasket, and finally using the Degrease Agent to degrease the gasket track before gluing on new gasket.
